In times of rapid change, rigid workflows and inefficient processes pose a significant risk. Professional business process modeling in Switzerland creates the transparency needed to identify waste—but that is only the first step. To remain competitive in the long term, a transformation in ways of working is often required. SYNSPACE Switzerland GmbH combines two powerful approaches: precise identification of inefficiencies through Lean Management and value stream analysis, and strategic Agile Transformation toward flexible frameworks such as Scrum or SAFe.
Typical challenges our clients face:
How can we quickly and reliably identify inefficiencies in our existing processes?
Which processes are suitable for Lean or value stream optimization, and where is agility appropriate?
How do we combine traditional process models with agile frameworks like Scrum or SAFe?
Which tools and methods efficiently support process optimization and agile adoption?
How can we measure the success of process and transformation initiatives sustainably?
In Short: What is Business Process Modeling?
Business process modeling, often using the international BPMN standard (Business Process Model and Notation), visualizes complex workflows clearly and logically. It serves as a common language between business and IT and provides the transparency needed to make weaknesses visible and improvements actionable.
Lean Management & Value Stream Analysis:
Our process optimization approach is based on Lean principles, aiming to eliminate the seven types of waste (Muda): overproduction, waiting, unnecessary transport, overprocessing, excess inventory, unnecessary motion, and defects/rework.
Using value stream mapping, we capture the current state, identify value-adding and non-value-adding activities, and design a lean target state. BPMN modeling is used to document these optimized processes and prepare them for digitalization.
Agile Transformation – Moving to Agile Frameworks
Agile transformation involves shifting from rigid, hierarchical structures to flexible, self-organizing networks. For Swiss companies, this is key to responding faster to market changes.
Scrum: Ideal for product development with clearly defined roles (Product Owner, Scrum Master), artifacts, and events.
SAFe: Scales agility for large organizations (Scaled Agile Framework).
Kanban: Focuses on flow optimization, visualizing work, and limiting work in progress (WIP).
